The long-awaited Tesla diner in Hollywood is nearing completion, with its opening date just weeks away.

Located at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard, the futuristic diner combines retro aesthetics with modern EV infrastructure.

The diner will feature a saucer-shaped rooftop, over 75 V4 Supercharger stations, and two towering 45-foot LED video screens, meant to display short films or vintage movie clips during charging sessions.

The concept, first teased by Elon Musk in 2018, envisions a blend of classic American diner culture with Tesla’s innovative technology.

The Tesla diner will be open 24/7

Earlier this year, construction was still underway, although it’s distinctive spaceship-shape was already apparent.

More than half a year later, the diner seems to be almost ready for the public.

A Redditor recently shared photos of the diner, and it looks stunning.

The interior booths look extremely futuristic, and you can even catch a glimpse of what appears to be a robot server.

One of the highlights of the Tesla diner is the outdoor cinema, where Tesla owners can enjoy a movie while charging their vehicles.

In fact, the building is looking a lot like its original concept art, which is awesome.

The two-story establishment will offer 24-hour dining, rooftop seating, and a bar, all designed to evoke a nostalgic yet futuristic atmosphere.

The menu is being developed by acclaimed chef Eric Greenspan, known for his casual dining ventures, while legendary restaurateur Bill Chait’s company Zero2One is expected to operate the diner.

Tesla’s integration of diner-related features into its mobile app further indicates the company’s commitment to enhancing the EV charging experience.

Mixed reactions from the community

Despite the excitement surrounding the project, the diner has faced skepticism from the Los Angeles restaurant community, with some chefs declining involvement due to factors like the absence of a liquor license.

Additionally, Tesla’s broader corporate direction and Elon Musk’s political affiliations have sparked public debate, potentially impacting the diner’s reception.

However, there is still much hype from the public for the opening of the Tesla Diner, with many citing Tesla’s reputation for making good products as the reason for their excitement.

Nevertheless, the Tesla Diner is poised to become a unique addition to Hollywood’s landscape.

At the very least, nobody can deny that this is a novel experience that merges dining, entertainment, and electric vehicle innovation.

If you’re eager to experience this retro-futuristic venue, the Tesla Diner is expected to open its doors in the coming weeks, although an exact date has yet to be set.
