These are the world’s largest land vehicles, and you won’t believe how vast some of them are.

These giants are not only huge, but extremely powerful, hard-working, and – often – extremely mean looking.

One of them even inspired one of the characters in the Transformers movie franchise.

With that in mind, you can get the sort of size machine we’re dealing with here.

Weighing in at thousands of tonnes and standing 225 metres tall, the machine at number one doesn’t even look like it belongs on this planet.

The Bagger 293 is so vast that it compares in size to a cruise ship, but runs on land.

It can carry 7,000 kilograms of coal in a single scoop, and crushes the road that it rolls over so badly that each one must be rebuilt afterwards.

This whole video shines a rare light on some of the less well-known giants of the machine world.

It’s about time they got a moment in the spotlight.
