The world’s thinnest foldable phone is looking to challenge Samsung with a very striking price tag and just how slim it is.
Honor has unveiled its Magic V6 foldable, and it is already turning heads thanks to its über slim design.
The new device packs flagship specs, huge battery capacity, and an ultra-bright display into a body that is barely thicker than a standard smartphone.
With pricing that undercuts its biggest rival, Honor is clearly aiming straight at Samsung’s dominance in the foldable space.

World’s thinnest foldable phone comes with some impressive specs
Honor has made the Magic V6 astonishingly thin for a foldable gadget; it’s probably the world’s thinnest foldable phone.
The device measures just 8.75mm thick when folded and only 4mm when opened up, while still weighing a relatively light 219g.
Despite that ultra-slim design, the phone still manages to pack a huge internal display.
The main folding screen measures 7.95 inches and supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, while the outer display comes in at 6.52 inches and also runs at 120Hz.

Both panels are impressively bright too, and the internal display can reach up to 5,000 nits of brightness, while the cover screen pushes things even further with a peak brightness of 6,000 nits.
Under the hood, the foldable runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon flagship chip and features a triple rear camera setup.
Honor has also managed to squeeze in a huge battery despite the ultra-thin design, with support for both wired and wireless charging.

It’s coming for Samsung with a slim price tag, too
What could really shake up the foldable phone market with the Honor Magic V6, however, is the pricing.
That is dramatically cheaper than Samsung’s comparable Galaxy W26 foldable in China, which starts at roughly $2,470 for a 16GB and 512GB configuration.
In other words, Honor is not just trying to compete on design and performance; it seems that it is also positioning the Magic V6 as a much better-value alternative to Samsung’s premium foldable lineup.
For now, the Magic V6 will launch in China first, with a wider global rollout expected later in 2026, it may not arrive in the US, but the message from Honor is already clear.
The foldable phone race is heating up, and Samsung may have a serious new challenger on its hands.
