Aftermarket specialist SVE has just given the Corvette E-Ray the Yenko treatment.

And it pushes the machine even deeper into hypercar territory – by giving it more power than a Bugatti Chiron.

The project in question has used the hybrid Corvette E-Ray as its basis.

And now, the SVE marque has given it some terrifying power.

SVE produces Yenko Corvette E-Ray

Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) is a truly fascinating group of people.

The company specializes in taking General Motors vehicles and making them breathe fire.

SVE produces an ultra-limited range of high-performing muscle cars and trucks under the ‘Yenko’ badge.

The Yenko badging is a tribute to Don Yenko, a Chevrolet dealer who used to modify Camaros, Chevelles, and Novas with high-performance 427ci V8 engines.

He did this in order to circumvent GM’s strict displacement limitations for mid-size cars.

And now, SVE licences the Yenko name for all of its high-end Chevrolet work.

This latest project might just be the most ridiculous one of them all.

For its most recent party trick, SVE decided to use a Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray.

And it ended up pushing it deep into hypercar territory.

Don’t believe us? Well, maybe this number will convince you.

This Yenko Corvette E-Ray produces an Earth-shattering 1,564hp.

To give you a little context, that’s 64hp more than the Bugatti Chiron.

Firm rings in all the changes – and fires past Bugatti Chiron

So how did SVE manage to achieve all of this?

Well, the standard 6.2-liter V8 has undergone a bit of a makeover.

When we say a bit, we actually mean a hell of a lot.

It has been overhauled with forged aluminum pistons, ARP high-strength head and main studs.

The engine has also been modified with a custom camshaft, a new intake manifold, and forged H-beam rods.

To round off the changes, a pair of 58 mm ceramic-ball-bearing, water-cooled turbochargers has also been added.

Of course, there is one thing worth remembering.

That thing is that this heavily re-worked powerplant is paired with the existing electric motor.

To handle this power, SVE wisely upgraded the dual-clutch eight-speed transmission.

Official performance figures have not yet been released.

We would not be shocked if this Yenko Corvette E-Ray is performing sub-eight-second quarter-mile times, though.
