This YouTuber took his passion for aviation to the next level when he bought his own airport in Florida, US.
If you thought it was impressive that John Travolta had a plane hangar in his house, you haven’t seen anything yet.
Cleetus McFarland shared his story with his three million subscribers and it’s truly remarkable.
It took a year of negotiations but it was well worth it for him.

How this YouTuber bought his own airport
The airstrip was located on 50 acres of land in the Sunshine State and was built by a man called Marvin Taylor.
Billed as one of the ‘nicest airstrips in the country’, this beautiful lot of land lives up to that description.
Cleetus plans to construct a house for himself on the land, as well as a runway.
One thing that won’t be changing is the name of the property – Myakka Head Air Strip.
Instead, he’ll be adding to it – it is now Myakka Head, Bald Eagle Airfield.
It doesn’t get much more American than that, does it?
Cleetus said: “Aviation has always been a core part of my family.
“I was born with it in my blood and it has automatically become a passion of mine.”
We can’t help but wonder whether or not this aircraft graveyard will get a deserved revival one day.
How much did he spend on this property?
Although no numbers are outlined in the video, Cleetus indicated that he had spent ‘nearly everything’ to acquire the land.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, public property records showed that he spent $3.5 million on the property.
This isn’t the first property that he’s taken under his belt, as he also owns the Freedom Factory racetrack.
For that, he spent a staggering $2.2 million back in 2020.
