This guy bought a 2004 Toyota Sequoia for $950 and managed to flip it for about four times as much.
The thing is, he didn’t really even have to do anything crazy to get that result.
It was mostly a combination of hard work and ingenuity.
And the irony is that his experience confirmed what people were already thinking about Toyotas.

There was a lot wrong with this Toyota, but it actually ran perfectly
The guy behind the Ultimate Rebuilds YouTube channel bought a 2004 Toyota Sequoia for just $950.
The price was so low for a variety of reasons, but we should probably mention right off the bat that it had nothing to do with the way it drove or ran.
These Toyotas are known for being unkillable, and this was no exception.
Despite its incredibly low price tag, this Sequoia ran perfectly, and it drove well, according to the YouTuber.

So why was the price so low?
Even though the SUV was structurally sound, it still needed a lot of work.
For starters, it was cosmetically ‘challenged’ – to put it nicely.
Aside from the red wheels – they looked like they came from an episode of Pimp My Ride – so many body parts were either bent or ruined, or both.
The YouTuber replaced the front bumper, fender, fender flares, and headlights, and that was already enough to make the car look significantly better.

After that, he bleached the cabin to eliminate bacteria and dead cockroaches – yuck – giving the entire interior a thorough scrubbing.
Pretty basic stuff. But no one had thought to do it.
All in all, the SUV ended up costing $2,200 between the initial price tag and repair costs.
And he flipped it for nearly $5,000.
Not a bad deal.
