How much it costs to fill a $100M superyacht with one tank of gas is enough to make you sweat just thinking about it

When you realize how much it costs to fill a $100 million superyacht with one tank of gas, you might have to pick your jaw up off the floor.

Many people fantasize about having a luxurious superyacht to call their own.

It remains a fantasy for the vast majority of people because it’s so pricey.

And if fuel prices are anything to go by, it’s probably best that this stays a fantasy.

Superyachts are a major investment and responsibility

Most people would assume that the priciest thing about a superyacht would be its purchase price.

Admittedly, there are some truly eye-watering figures out there.

The world’s most expensive superyacht is worth a staggering $800 million, while urban myths persist of a $4.8 billion yacht.

But then there are the additional costs which can be just as hard on the bank balance.

Admittedly, if you’re a billionaire, it’s not going to hit your finances that badly.

Take for example the M/Y Kismet, which costs $3 million to charter for just one week.

That is one expensive getaway – though getting access to submarines, pools, and spas surely softens the blow.

Then there’s the question of fuel.

After all, what’s a superyacht without fuel? A stagnant vessel sitting in the docks.

Here’s how much it costs to fill up a $100m superyacht with one tank of gas

The superyacht in question is called Bold, and with an asking price of $100 million, it’s a fitting name.

It has a jacuzzi, outdoor sundeck cinema, and a spare helicopter available to fly, so it’s clearly money well spent if you’ve got billions in the bank.

In a video shared to Instagram by content creator Eric Suerez, the secrets of Bold were revealed.

While touring the yacht, Suerez raised a question that was no doubt lurking at the back of everyone’s minds.

“How much does it cost to fill up one tank of gas on this thing?” he asked a crew member.

“About $250,000,” the crew member replied.

While that is undoubtedly expensive, you’ve got to take into account how much this superyacht is carrying around.

Bold has a ‘wintergarden’, jacuzzi and an outdoor on-deck cinema – that’s a lot of weight to be hauling around the open seas.

It just about has everything you could want.
