This YouTuber purchased a 1988 Chevy Corvette for $10,000 and discovered it came with an unexpected surprise.

TFLclassics had no intentions of keeping this Chevy stowed away as a garage queen.

This was to be his daily driver.

But he soon learned that it was surprising in ways he didn’t anticipate.

What was the unexpected surprise behind this Chevy?

Although he posed the question of whether or not the purchase was a mistake, it appeared the car was in fine condition.

The exterior is without rust and the V8 engine doesn’t appear to be ‘overly stressed’.

On the inside, the car’s red leather seating has held up like a dream.

In fact, that may be the biggest surprise of all – how reliable this car is on the whole.

With such an affordable price tag, you would have thought that the car was in a sorry state.

Taking the car for a drive, the host said: “All in all, it’s really not that bad of a car to live with.

“The reason I got this was to use it as a commuter in the summer.

“This car is better for shorter trips and it does really well on the highway.”

You know what doesn’t do so well on a highway?

A giant cow hanging out of the side of your car, but tell that to this Nebraska man.

The internet reacts to the Corvette

The viewers on TFLclassics’ channel were appreciative of his review and lapped praise on the 1988 model.

One wrote: “Dude, for a get around town car, your Vette is perfect. Nice looking, runs great and it’s manual! I say you’ve got a great car.”

Another said: “The second you opened the door and I saw your interior my jaw dropped… Absolute gorgeousness my guy.”

“For the price it looks like a smart choice for your needs,” a fellow viewer commented.

Corvettes are generally crowd pleasers, especially when kept in good upkeep like this Corvette prototype from 1954.

Meanwhile, this lost Corvette prototype has been seen for the first time since 1954.

The Chevy Corvette ZR1, meanwhile, has the largest twin turbos ever fitted to a passenger car.
