A classic 1991 Aston Martin Virage has cropped up for sale in America, and what makes this car super interesting is that it hasn’t been on the road for over 15 years.
The Virage is currently for sale on Bring a Trailer and has been with the current owner since 1998.
It last ran on the road in 2013, but despite that, the car remains in good condition.
Even with all that time on the sidelines, it might be easier for this Aston to get back on the road than its current owner believes.

Corrosion might put buyers off this Aston Martin
The biggest problem that Aston Martin faces is rust.
The car is located in Massachusetts in the United States, and comes with a clean title, yet it’s in non-running condition.
And as you might have guessed, rust and corrosion are a problem for the British auto, as it’s from the ‘snow belt. ‘
Images of the underside show the issues, which could prove quite a challenge for anyone buying the car.

The underside of the hood, for example, shows some worrying signs of rust, and a quick fix is unlikely.
However, away from the corrosion, the Virage looks rather good.
The paintwork is in great condition, and the interior also looks excellent.
The red leather seats and grey leather steering wheel look virtually brand new.
V8 power will tempt people to buy the Virage
From 1989 to 2000, the Virage was Aston Martin’s flagship model.
Part of that was due to its superb V8 engine under the hood.
Powering the Virage is a 5.3-liter V8 complete with Callaway-designed cylinder heads and Weber-Marelli engine management.
That V8 engine makes 325HP and 340LB-FT of torque.
In essence, this is a Chevrolet Corvette with a classy British design.
The odometer reads 93,000 miles; however, this is incorrect.
The listing states it actually has just 9,000 on the clock, and with the car having no reserve, it could be a real bargain.

Aston Martin only made around 1,000 Virages, making it a rare beast and a fascinating project car.
At the time of writing, bidding stood at $10,000, with just over 12 hours left to run before the auction finished.
The selling dealer states that repairing the fuel system and flushing the fuel tank will be required before the car can go back on the road.
But if the lucky buyer can sort the issues on this Virage, they may have just struck gold.
