The 2027 Kia Telluride has been unveiled, and it comes with a brand-new hybrid powertrain, spacious cabin, and a newly upgraded X-Pro offering.

Kia debuted the upcoming Telluride at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show this month.

The second-generation Kia Telluride comes with a bunch of updates and upgrades, including new tech, more torque, and plenty of room.

It’s also the first time the Telluride has been given a hybrid powertrain, and it comes with impressive miles per gallon estimates.

The Kia Telluride will be released as a hybrid for the first time

The Kia Telluride was initially previewed as a concept car back in 2016, before going into production three years later.

When it was launched, it came with a 3.8-liter V6 engine that offered up to 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.

Now, the carmaker has unveiled the second-generation Kia Telluride, and it is available as a hybrid for the first time.

The 2027 Kia Telluride is offered with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine or a 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain.

The Telluride 2.5-liter turbo produces 274 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, while its hybrid sibling is good for 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque.

The hybrid also offers an impressive estimated 35mpg, and a total estimated driving range of up to 600 miles.

The SUV has held onto its three-row layout, but this time around, the Telluride is a little longer, meaning there’s more cargo space and a roomier interior.

The upgraded X-Pro trim brings along a host of additional cool updates, including wider all-terrain tires, a new advanced E-LSD system, ground-view monitor, a new multi-terrain AWD mode, and increased 9.1-inches of ground clearance, making the car more rugged and capable than ever.

It’s crammed full of smart tech inside

The spacious interiors offer super comfortable seating with more leg room than before, as well as front relaxation seats that come with leg rests and a driver massage function, and heated seats available for all three rows.

You’ll also find more tech than you can shake a stick at, including dual 12.3-inch panoramic digital displays, dual wireless phone chargers, and the ability to stream Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard, alongside Kia’s generative AI voice assistant that can be initiated by simply saying: “Hey Kia…”

There’s also a Meridian sound system, complete with 14 speakers and a subwoofer.

It even comes with some display themes using exclusive Disney and Marvel artwork or NBA themes.

The 2027 Kia Telluride is expected to go on sale in the US early next year.
