AMMO NYC clean a Lamborghini Countach

Power washing filthy cars is one of those strangely mesmerising visuals, and it’s even better when the car is a Lamborghini Countach.

The crew over at AMMO NYC have been at it again with their incredible detailing of epic cars.

This time they found a Lamborghini Countach, one of only 321 ever built.

You can pick up an original Countach in the same red colour scheme for about $800,000 – so it’s a huge barn find.

There was 20 years worth of grime on the outside and the inside was even worse.

The AMMO NYC team, who have two million loyal fans on YouTube, found rodent excrement, hidden acorns and all manner of disgusting filth.

Inside the glovebox they even found a pair of jeans that were basically hard as a board from all the mouse urine.

The glovebox also had hidden delights such as a mouldy shot glass and a packet of Marlboro Red cigarettes.

Deep cleaning a Countach

A high-pressure hose is the first step of the detailing and is used to blast off dirt from the exterior.

The exterior is sorted with a good scrub and rinse. But it’s the interior that is the real problem

They don heavy duty masks and gloves to deal with the rank interior, removing everything possible.

The allure of the Lamborghini Countach

This Lambo is an icon. It was a poster on millions of children’s walls in the ’80s and ’90s.

It was manufactured from 1974 until 1990 (plus the 50th anniversary edition, the LPI 800-4, which was announced last year).

The Countach was the first production car to use the famous scissor doors.

With aggressive angles and a brutal V12 powering the rear wheels, the Countach was a terrifying car.

There are a few different models but the original LP400 would hit 288km/h and blast from 0-100km/h in 5.4 seconds.
