It’s called the BeTRITON and it can seriously change the way you think about camping.
It’s a bit of a strange concept, but if eco-friendly travel is something you are passionate about it’s worth paying attention to.
The brainchild of Aigars Lauzis who once cycled 30,000km from London to Tokyo, the BeTRITON is designed to travel sustainably on both land and water.
It has electric thrust on water and electric assistance when pedaling on land.
It’s a lot greener than any motorboat, that’s for sure!

If you run out of power when out on the lake, it has oars to help you row back to shore as well.
But there are solar panels in the roof to hopefully stop that from happening.
You won’t have to row it alone though if you bring along a friend.
Yes, the BeTRITON has a passenger seat and room for two to sleep inside it.
But given how tight the space is you’ll want to be very close friends to share it.
The BeTRITON is priced at €14,500 (just over US$15,200) with the company currently taking pre-orders.

It’s set to be delivered to European customers this year and those outside Europe in 2023.
For those not wanting to fork out for one to keep, you can rent them from the company in Latvia for either one or two days at €60 (US$63) per day.
