Affordable watch list

Watches by Lamborghini are incredible, but they’re unaffordable and unattainable for most of us.

So what about great-looking, good-quality watches that are actually within reach?

Well, here are five new, affordable watches that watch fanatics are raving about.

5. Q Timex Reissue – $169

Timex is hardly the first name that springs to mind when you think of cool watches.

However, the reissue of its famous Q model has been an instant hit.

For just $169 you can get yourself a Pepsi bezel that’ll look as classy as a Tudor or Rolex. Well, at least it will from across the room on the $10 extra bracelet.

To spice up the model – which is a remake of a 1979 classic – there’s even a GMT version offered as well.

It’s one of the most affordable watches on this list, but also one of the coolest.

4. Tissot PRX – $625

Watch fan clubs on Facebook – yes, those exist – are going crazy about the Tissot PRX.

It’s a watch that can suit every budget, with a quartz version offered from $325 on a leather strap.

However, the Powermatic 80 comes from $625 for those after an automatic movement. It’s notably set apart by its waffle dial texture.

It’s a seriously classy piece that looks particularly stunning with the blue or green dial options.

3. Citizen Promaster Dive Automatic – $550

Where would we be without a dive watch?

Like the earlier Timex, this Citizen line is an homage to the brand’s classic line from 1989.

Priced from $550, the watches unusually feature a left-handed crown. This is done to make them more comfortable to wear due to the bulkiness of the crown.

With 200 meters water resistance and an automatic movement, they’ll be the ideal watch for anyone looking to hit the waves this summer.

2. Seiko 5 Sports GMT – $475

It might not be on sale just yet – it’s out in July – but the latest addition to the ever-popular Seiko 5 family is sure to be a hit.

This model marks the first time the Seiko 5 line has featured a GMT complication, which offers 24-hour timekeeping.

That makes it ideal for travellers, so it’ll be a good companion on your summer vacation.

Three colors are offered with the black looking subtle and classy, blue adding a sporty flair, and orange making for a real stand-out piece.

At $475 it’s astonishing value for a GMT with an automatic movement as well.

1. Casio G-Shock ‘CasiOak’ GA-B2100 – $150

C’mon, as if this wasn’t going to take first place on this list.

The already legendary CasiOak has just been given an upgrade for 2022, and comes priced from just $150 in the US.

While it’s only been out for a couple of years, Casio has given it a new Tough Solar movement (meaning no battery changes are required) and Bluetooth connectivity.

A 200 meters water resistance remains, making it ideal for days at the beach as well.

It’s offered in some new colorways as well, with the bright yellow case our easy pick as the best of the affordable watches for this summer.
