An art collective in New York City called MSCHF is giving away a car but there’s a catch: you have to find it.
The MSCHF car has been dropped somewhere in the city and whoever finds it first, gets to keep it.
So as you can imagine, there are a thousand people on a bizarre treasure hunt across the city right now.

Officially known as the ‘Keys4all‘ initiative, it’s a crazy idea by Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF and it’s actually quite clever.

So how does it work?
You buy a key for $19 and once you find the car, you can unlock it with your key and drive away.
No strings attached.
Some people have already bought the keys and started the hunt, and of course they’ve also been sharing their progress on social media.
There are 1,000 keys available – each costs just $19.
The only trouble is you’re going to be competing with 999 people who have the same key.
The make and model of the car remain a mystery, and the keys are unmarked.
However, you can get tips on the car’s whereabouts by calling MSCHF’s hotline at +1 833-457-2771.
As you get closer to the car, the key will actually let you know by lighting up in different colors to let you know just how close you are.
