The ultra-exclusive Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut costs millions and goes at unrivalled speeds

This Swedish Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut was designed to go faster than almost any car out there.

In fact, this $2.89 million beast will “challenge” the top speed record “in due time” according to an Instagram post from the brand.

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut launched back in 2020 at the-then cancelled Geneva Motor Show.

CEO of the eponymous brand, Christian von Koenigsegg, said: “It is the fastest Koenigsegg ever made and the company will never endeavour to make a faster series-production road car, ever.”

He has also been quoted as saying that “the name Absolut comes from the fact that this is the absolute fastest Koenigsegg that we will ever make”.

And at 1,600bhp, when matched with E85 fuel – the heavyweight hero has a fair shot at the title of fastest car.

If you’re into cars that amp up the speed, these are the fastest electric cars in the world.

Speaking of speed, here’s the fastest convertible and the fastest accelerating car that should satisfy your need for speed.

Want more? Here’s the fastest man-made object – and you won’t believe what it is.

Back to the Absolut and 5.1-litre twin-turbo V8 engine packs 1,280 horsepower on gasoline.

The beast is force-fed by twin ceramic ball bearing turbochargers.

It boasts 1,106lb ft of torque, meaning it can rev from idle to 8,500rpm in 0.2 seconds.

With power poured through a nine-speed transmission, it shifts through gears simply and seamlessly.

Because the gearsets don’t ned to move into place, the transmission can jump through ears instantly.

It can go from 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in around 2.5 seconds

In fact, it recorded a staggering 531 km/h (330 mph) top speed earlier in 2023

Just as powerful as the Jesko, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is more seamless and stealthier than its counterpart.

In fact, every element has been thoughtfully engineered to reduce drag and turbulence.

Its slimmed, low-drag, long-tail body is testament to that endeavour.

Faired-in wheels, a lower ride height, rear hood fins, closed-off front air ducts and front underbody flaps all help achieve an official drag coefficient of 0.278Cd.

Only 125 will ever be built – but despite its mammoth price tag, even deep pockets won’t help you get your hands on one.

They’re all sold out.

Maybe Floyd Mayweather – a known fan of the brand – has snapped one up.
