There’s a new way to charge your iPhone in a pinch, and this might come as a serious revelation to some of you.

Each year Apple’s phones get more powerful and have more features.

But no battery lasts forever, and – over time – the batteries of all devices start to deteriorate.

However, one X user just shared an innovative way to top your battery up in an emergency.

And it’s all thanks to an update that people weren’t happy about at first.

Even though the iPhone 15 was released only a few months ago, the internet is already preparing for the iPhone 16.

We’ve seen leaked photos of the new hardware, which features a new button and camera lens alignment.

One hardware element that remains the same is the once-controversial USB-C charging port.

Apple switched from its lighting port to the standardized USB-C charging port last year, as per the European Union’s regulations.

Given the history of tech companies rolling out new hardware – and therefore new things for consumers to buy – some people were somewhat concerned by the switch.

However, a recent discovery could have these complainers changing their tune.

Some users already knew that they could plug accessories into their phones to charge them.

But did you know you can charge your iPhone with another iPhone?

Simply plug one end of the USB-C port into your iPhone and the other into another phone with the same port.

When two USB-Cs are connected, a ‘handshake’ occurs.

This means the phones ‘talk’ to each other to determine which needs more power.

So the phone with more battery will always power the one with less.

And because all the latest Macbooks also use this charger, you can use the same principle to charge your laptop on the go.

“That’s how you show somebody that you really love them,” one commenter said.

“Now these people are never gonna learn to charge their phones before going out,” another said.

Well, did you know that?

Don’t say we never do anything for you.
