A 1962 Chevrolet C1 Corvette sports car was found abandoned and forgotten behind a fence in a Florida backyard.
During one of his latest adventures in the Sunshine State, car collector and YouTuber Dennis Collins found the car.
As you can see in the video, the Corvette is in pretty rough shape, with the C1 model having sat behind the fence for well over a decade.
This particular C1 is also one of the most sought-after versions, but Collins thinks it will run again, despite its very rough condition.

Collins is well-versed in tracking down iconic cars.
This C1 Corvette is arguably one of the best he has come across.
The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette was the final year of the C1, the very first version of the sports car.
It was also the final year that the Corvette had a solid rear axle, and the first came with the 327ci V8 engine.
After a shaky start, the V8 is widely seen as the turning point for the Corvette, transforming the car.
Collins gets up close to the C1, and revealed the full effects of 10 years of outdoor storage for the poor car.
The body was rusty and damaged, and the car had all sorts of junk buried in places.
However, despite this, Collins had high hopes for the supercar.
Collins described it as ‘rough but all there’, including the V8 engine, which is crucial to its future.
Removing the C1 from its resting spot wasn’t easy, however
The Corvette had sunk slightly into the ground, with foliage starting to hide it from all around.

Remarkably, a basic wooden fence kept the car hidden from public view, ensuring no one could tamper with it.
That made the car a bit of a time capsule, which would only add to the car’s value if it were restored like this Dodge Charger.
This car had an interesting story to tell, with it being a puzzle as to why it was abandoned.
Perhaps a future video from Collins will reveal the C1 Corvette restored to its former glory.
