These guys found an abandoned military aircraft graveyard but faced many challenges trying to get to it thanks to having no phone signal.

These explorers are used to urban exploration missions, but this one threw up tricky challenges that they rarely face.

The team found vintage military aircraft, as well as a tank replica, and even a surprise that blew their minds.

They called it their best exploration ever, even though they’d had to wait until they got home to tell people and faced so many challenges along the way.

They had zero phone signal

The team from YouTube channel Urbandoned, known for their urban exploration videos, embarked on one of their most exciting missions yet.

They had some challenges as they made their way towards their destination, an abandoned military aircraft graveyard.

They trekked for hours through dense terrain, dealing with outdated maps that showed a forest which no longer existed.

With zero phone signal, trying to access new, updated maps was virtually impossible.

Not only was daylight running out, but the team also had to cross rivers, marshes, and uneven ground, which became more difficult the later it got.

They were pleased, however, when they reached the abandoned military aircraft graveyard and couldn’t believe their eyes.

Inside the abandoned military aircraft graveyard

The team was ecstatic when faced with the abandoned military aircraft at the location.

Among the first group of airplanes they spotted was a Sukhoi Su-22M, a plane from the East German Air Force.

Next, the team discovered six Dassault Mystere bombers which hailed from the 1950s and were surrounded by fuel containers.

They then decided to investigate inside the stripped cockpits and other aircraft in the graveyard.

At which point, the explorers began to suspect that the planes were used for training and weapons testing.

The team was shocked to find a tank replica that despite never being used in combat was created with particular attention to detail.

The biggest and most exciting surprises however came in the form of three Lockheed TT-3 “Shooting Stars” and a soviet Mil Mi-24 attack helicopter.

The helicopter was blocked by a big river, so one of the group decided to wade through the deep water.

The rest of the team, howewer, went out of their way to find a narrow place to cross.

Returning to their car after making their way back by torchlight, the team reflected on the adventure, calling it their best yet.

“[It’s] up there with our all-time greatest’,” one of the team confirmed.
