A car lover who spotted a Porsche 911 left parked outside a mechanic shop for more than a year finally decided to see if he could buy it.

The beautiful Porsche 911 had been sitting in front of a German mechanic specialist in Canada.

After noting that the car had been there for more than a year, car enthusiast and YouTuber TJ asked if it was for sale.

Well, if you don’t ask, you don’t get, right? But things didn’t quite work out as he hoped.

The Porsche 911 spent more than a year outside the auto shop

When it comes to iconic Porsche cars, few have quite as much desirability as the Porsche 911.

Which means seeing one forgotten or abandoned is particularly painful, but sadly, it does still happen.

YouTuber and car enthusiast TJ – the man behind the Magnacars YouTube channel – spotted what he thought was a long-forgotten Porsche 911 outside of a specialist auto shop.

“This Porsche 911 has been sitting outside this mechanic shop for over a year,” he explained.

“Last February I accidentally stumbled across it sitting in front of this German mechanic specialist covered in snow.”

More than 12 months on from first spotting the vehicle, TJ decided to go in and see if it was for sale.

Things didn’t quite go as he’d hoped

After plucking up the courage to go in and enquire about the seemingly abandoned vehicle, TJ was told that wasn’t the case.

It turned out that the car did have an owner, and the owner was simply waiting on a part to get it back on the road again.

“The owner is waiting on parts, apparently, it’s some computer module which causes the engine to spark, which he doesn’t have, so hopefully, they get it fixed this year,” the YouTuber explained in the clip.

That’s a long time to wait for a repair.

Although the Porsche 911 wasn’t up for sale, another Porsche – a 928 – that was sitting outside, could possibly be looking for a new owner.

The member of staff at the mechanic repair shop explained to TJ that the 928’s owner had ‘disappeared off the face of the Earth’.

When asked if that meant the car was up for sale, he was told it might be for sale if he was able to track down the owner.

That sounds like a challenge, doesn’t it?
