Guys search abandoned mansion and find AC 3000ME prototype that’s been left to dust

A YouTuber accidentally discovered an ultra-rare AC 3000 ME prototype parked in the garage of an abandoned mansion.

This is one of the rarest cars ever created, and it is also potentially extremely valuable.

The guys from the VacantHaven YouTube channel found the car in relatively good condition.

It would still take a lot of work but, based on what we’re seeing in the video, it definitely looks like it could be repaired and made road-ready again.

AC 3000 is a rare car with a troubled past

AC, the same company that helped Shelby with the Cobra, first introduced the car in 1973.

Production began years later, in 1979, but things didn’t go smoothly at all.

Through the years, the rights to the 3000 have been acquired twice, and in both cases, the company never managed to kickstart production again.

Why so many valuable cars are seemingly abandoned for no reason?

Not a day goes by without a new barn find worth thousands if not millions of dollars.

There are several reasons for that.

Sometimes, it’s because the owner died.

This is true for several record-breaking barn finds, such as the $52 million car collection found in France.

In that case, the owner was a keen car enthusiast and a collector, but his family apparently didn’t care much about cars.

After he died, they left the cars in the garages and barns because they didn’t know what to do with them, and when they finally got around to it, they simply sold off the entire collection.

Then there are one-off situations and events.

That’s what happened with the brand-new Roadsters found in a shipping container.

In that instance, a Chinese startup had purchased a few brand new Teslas to reverse engineer them.

The problem is, the company had already gone belly up by the time the cars arrived, and that’s why they were left in containers for nearly two decades.

Hopefully it won’t take decades for the AC 3000 ME to come back to life.
