The second trailer for GTA VI dropped the other day, and it broke the internet.

While fans learned that the game had been delayed (again), the trailer sent fans crazy.

As with any GTA trailer, it showcased some of the cars and vehicles we could expect in-game.

And we are going to be looking at some of their real-life counterparts today.

Unlike other car-focused games, like Forza or Gran Turismo, GTA does not use licensed vehicles.

In fact, the series has become legendary for its lifelike adaptations of real-world vehicles.

Over the years of the series, Rockstar Games has evolved greatly in its presentation of cars in-game.

Most of us fondly remember the days of Vice City or San Andreas, when vehicles were more generic.

However, simple 3D renderings of cars, trucks and SUVs are very much a thing of the past.

For us, the noticeable difference first came with the release of GTA IV in 2008.

Back then, in-game cars very much took a big leap forward in terms of graphics and real-world resemblance.

Sedans, sports cars and even motorcycles started to look much more like their real-world inspirations.

For example, GTA V saw the Obey 9F serve the role of a (strikingly accurate) Audi R8.

Contrastingly, if hypercars are more your speed, then you can get your hands on the Bugatti Chiron.

Or, we should say, the Truffade Nero – which is only different to the real thing in very small details.

And now, with the release of GTA VI, graphics have taken another gigantic leap forward.

The release of the trailer, which was entirely captured in-game, sees the inclusion of new vehicles.

Firstly, the second trailer shows a ‘Vapid’ Caracara 4×4 pickup truck parked outside.

And it is a remarkably clear, accurately rendered version of the real-life Ford F-150 Raptor.

Then comes the Vapid Ute truck.

This appears to be a clear tribute to the Ford Ranchero/Chevrolet El Camino truck.

Among others, there are clear substitutes for the Porsche 718 Cayman and the Lamborghini Aventador.

Long time fans of the game (us) are also delighted to see the Dodge Viper/Bravado Banshee.

We must say that we are extremely excited to see what the end result looks like when it’s finally released in May of 2026.
