An American man who bought a cheap Ford F-150 Raptor pickup thought he’d had a nightmare, until he found the reason behind his issues.
YouTuber WatchJRGo revealed that a friend of his bought the pickup from Tyler Hoover of Hoovies Garage, having paid $12,000 for the 2013 F-150 SVT Raptor.
However, the truck had multiple issues, which is perhaps expected with a 311,000-mile pickup.
But, it turns out there was a relatively simple fix to some of the problems, meaning there was still life in the 12-year-old truck.

What problems did the F-150 Raptor have?
Early in the video, we quickly learn about the issues that were present with the truck.
The biggest of them was a strange noise coming from the hood.
This seemed to make the entire truck shake and vibrate.
The YouTuber and his friend assumed that there was a broken fan of the air-conditioning blower, causing it to make this noise.
The creator, known as WatchJRGO, opened the hood to disassemble the blower.
But when he did so he found there was nothing wrong with it.
However, he then saw there was a piece of rubber going around in it, which was causing the noise and vibration.
So, the American YouTuber removed the offending piece and cleaned up the blower.
Fixing the blower solved the Ford truck’s issues
The fix only took a few minutes, and the blower was quickly back on the truck.
With that fixed, cold air finally came into the cabin, and the vibration and noise had stopped.
What is more remarkable is how, despite that problem, most of the other major functions of the truck worked.
This 2013 F-150 Raptor has an incredible 311,000 miles on the clock, highlighting how sturdy it is.

When new in 2013, the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor came with a 6.2-liter multi-port V8 engine.
Under the hood of this Raptor, that V8 makes 411hp and 434lb-gy of torque.
Making drivers’ lives easier is the six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive that the truck comes with.
Hopefully, the trucks owner, Eric, will now be able to continue enjoying this Ford Raptor for a few more years.
