Apocalypse Manufacturing - Massive cars for massive stars
Apocalypse Manufacturing

If there was one word to describe Apocalypse Manufacturing, it would be ‘epic’.

Their vehicles are big in scope and in presence – as the name suggests, these things are built to withstand the end of the world.

Thanks to several celebrity customers, the company has built a name for themselves as the best of the best in customized vehicles.

Chief marketing officer Jerry Eisenband spoke to Supercar Blondie about the company’s image, famous clientele and future aspirations.

Apocalypse Manufacturing – seriously big cars for seriously big names

Eisenband has been part of the Florida-based company since 2020.

The company was founded by his brother-in-law, Joe Ghattas.

By the time he came onboard, Eisenband had worked in top marketing positions for Caesars Entertainment, the government of Florida and a helicopter company.

The 42-year-old recalled: “I really thought the product was cool, I thought I could do a great job with it, because it sort of markets itself.

“They are billboards on four or six wheels.”

Apocalypse Manufacturing had its first big celebrity customer with baseball player Aroldis Chapman, who treated himself to a Hellfire 6×6 truck.

Once news of that hit TMZ, the company soon became a favorite go-to for celebrities with money to spend.

Over the years, Apocalypse has counted many household names among its buyers.

Drake picked himself up a super truck based on a Ram TRX, with a distinctive zebra interior.

Other customers include Travis Scott, Luka Dončić and Shaquille O’Neal.

Speaking on why Apocalypse appeals to these stars, Eisenband said: “If you have the means you don’t want to just blend into the crowd.

“A lot of these celebrities love having speed under their fingertips.

“Most celebrities have it custom. When Shaq got his, he said ‘Jerry, I love Apocalypse. I love that you put the big A logo, but man, I’m Superman. I gotta have my big Superman logo.’

“Katt Williams was like, ‘Jerry, I’m the Joker. I want my rims to be purple’. His truck was green and his rims were purple.

“Remember, celebrities are hanging out with other celebrities. If you show up with an Apocalypse, you’ve broken the game. It’s something completely different.”

The thing to remember about celebrity clients is that they want a fast turnaround, and Apocalypse are able to oblige.

“We could have a full 6×6 built in as little as 10 days,” Eisenband said.

“We have 82 mechanics building the craziest looking creations every day.”

What lies ahead for a brand centered around the end of the world

The brand’s name and many of its cars – Juggernaut, Nirvana, Hellraiser – are very rock-and-roll.

This is entirely the point – these trucks are large and in charge.

Supercar Blondie’s very own Sergi Galiano even got to try one out for himself.

Eisenband said: “We want to be as aggressive as possible, not just in the design, not just in the function, but the names.

“We have a lot of fun, but we’re also using terms that evoke an emotion from the customer.

“This is not like ‘Hey, I’m just going to stay in my lane’. No, this is like ‘I’m a badass’.

“I’m driving an Apocalypse Hellfire if meteors start crashing here tomorrow, I’ve got the perfect vehicle to dodge them all.

“It’s that kind of playfulness that really resonates with customers.”

Short of a real life Armageddon scenario, what lies in the future for this company which has already made a huge name for itself?

Eisenband said: “The company has a lot of lofty expectations for 2025.

“We’re hiring and training more people. We’ve had one year in this 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.

“The next logical step is to conquer the world.

“We want to get our brand into a bunch of different states, a bunch of different places.

“People might see these 4×4 or 6×6 as weekend warriors that they’d take camping.

“No, this is something you can drive everyday because they drive so luxurious.

“We’re making a Hellfire that can fit seven to eight people, and we do that conscientiously because we want your family to be in it.

“When you buy a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, there’ll be people who think it’s a very exclusive thing.

“With our cars, we want the exact opposite reaction.

“We want people to think ‘Oh my god, that’s America. I’m America. You’re America. High five.'”
