Apple is celebrating 40 years of accessibility at the company and has released a new accessory with artist and designer Bailey Hikawa to create something for everyone.
Los Angeles-based Hikawa is well known for her colorful and abstract iPhone cases, and they may have popped up on your social media feeds from time to time.
Now, she has come up with a new accessory with Apple, the limited edition Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand, a MagSafe-compatible accessory.
It celebrates 40 years of accessibility at Apple, and it is one of the most striking accessories you will ever see.

What the Apple accessory with Bailey Hikawa looks like
The new accessory from the tech giant and Bailey Hikawa is certainly striking to look at.
It looks like quite a large, lumpy bulge on the back of the phone, but it’s not just designed like this for aesthetics.
The accessory has been designed to offer creative means of hand support, improve grip, and reduce fatigue.
It has additional accessibility considerations.

This is aimed at those with different degrees of muscle strength and motor skills.
It is made of silicone and is usable either vertically or horizontally, and easily snaps on and off the iPhone.
The new accessory is all about improving accessibility for those with a wide range of disabilities.
It also aims to look funky in the process.
The company is celebrating 40 years of accessibility
Its launch comes as Apple celebrates 40 years of accessibility initiatives.
The company has also been releasing new accessibility features and upgrades.
It has done this alongside Hikawa’s phone accessory.
Some of these include new App Store labels and Braille Access.
On top of that, we have also seen upgrades to other features.
This includes Personal Voice, Live Listen, Head Tracking, and Live Captions.
The Hikawa Phone Grip and stand come in two colors.

Apple is currently offering it in the Crater color, as well as Chartreuse.
However, this game-changer of an accessory has a relatively high retail price of $69.95.
At the time of writing, both colors were sold out on the official Apple store in the United States.
So if you don’t want to get your hands on one, you may have to wait a while.
