Apple has issued a battery warning with the new IOS 26 update

It’s the moment that every iPhone user has been eagerly waiting for: the highly anticipated software update of iOS 26.

Apple regularly sends out software updates to its devices to keep them running smoothly and to maintain high security systems.

But it seems that the company has also issued a warning as iOS 26 gets adopted.

The company first explained that both its software and hardware are designed to perform well alongside facilitating a ‘great battery life,’ but as the updates can change usage, there is something that users should know.

“Immediately after completing an update, particularly a major release, you might notice a temporary impact on battery life and thermal performance,” the company warned.

“This is normal, as your device needs time to complete the setup process in the background, including indexing data and files for search, downloading new assets, and updating apps.”

Apple continued that it depends on how much an individual person uses their device, but it is still working to finesse features in the background, too.

Features included in the update consist of Live Activities, Call Screening, and Hold Assist, plus improvements of many others, too.

It is important to note, however, that the software update warning of battery life impact is generalized and not specific to iOS 26.

Apple’s new updates are exciting

From releasing iPhones to iPads and computers, there aren’t many spheres that the company hasn’t explored.

But the clever ideas are also implemented and used in many vehicles, too, with the creation of CarPlay.
