iPhone users, listen up – a hugely popular Apple feature is being canceled.
The feature previously enabled iPhone users to keep their devices fresh at a low cost, but the tech giant is bringing in a new plan in the UK.
With 2026 seeing many changes in the technology world, just two months in, many companies are adjusting to keep up with current trends.
However, Apple has claimed that the feature that will take its place will be even better and teased that users will ‘love what’s next’.

Apple cancels popular iPhone offer
Apple is arguably the biggest tech brand on the globe thanks to products including iPhones, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and AirPods.
However, thanks to the high specs, ability, and popularity of Apple products, prices often tip the top end of the scale, with the latest iPhones costing over a thousand dollars.

Recognising that not everybody has a spare thousand dollars to splash on the latest iPhone release every September, the company came up with a plan.
The Apple iPhone Upgrade Program allowed iPhone users to spread the cost of their device across a 24-month period and then subsequently upgrade it to the latest model every year after the equivalent 12 monthly payments, with AppleCare+ also thrown in too.

While the program seems to still be in full swing in the US, across the pond in the UK, things are looking completely different.
In fact, the program is set to be replaced with a new offer, with UNILAD Tech reporting it could impact millions of users.

Apple make statement about iPhone Upgrade Program
Sharing the news on the Apple site in the UK, iPhone users were given the all-important update.
“The iPhone Upgrade Programme is coming to an end, but we think you’ll love what’s next,” it stated.
For current iPhone users who use the program, the company reassured them that, for now, they just need to keep making the payments they have left.

Then, when the time comes to get a new iPhone handset, ‘The Flexible Finance Account’ will offer you a new, more flexible way to upgrade’.
So, it seems that Apple has well and truly started 2026 off with a bang.
