Muscle man, former US governor, and famed actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, has been snapped driving around Hollywood, LA, in his doorless Hummer H1, flexing his size and style.

As an avid car enthusiast, Schwarzenegger is often pictured turning up to events in style.

But having stumbled into a career in politics, the flashy days of acting put to one side with the exception of the odd cameo and Netflix series, it’s now quite rare to see him in his raw environment.

Yet it’s still possible, as he was pictured in a doorless Hummer H1 smoking a cigar in the streets of LA.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a car collection that even the most famed celebrities will be jealous of.

Starting way back when with a classic BMW, which even he himself is coy about owning up to, citing that he was the ‘typical German’ driving around America in the ’60s.

Since then, he’s come to own some spectacular vehicles, including a truly special one-of-six Jaguar.

But having been born in 1947, he grew up around post-war vehicles and has developed a fondness for military cars.

Especially the Hummer.

One of his most beloved cars is the Hummer H1, having been the first person in the United States to buy a Humvee from AM General.

He fell in love with the car while in Oregon shooting Kindergarten Cop, a ’90s film where he works both as a police officer and an undercover school teacher.

He managed to convince Hummer to sell him the vehicle, and some 30 years later, he was spotted driving it through Hollywood.

Pictured in typical military gear – green shirt, black shorts, knee-high compression socks – and a cigar in his mouth, the former governor opted to have the doorless look on his now-green ex-military car.

Not every Hummer H1 is built with extractable doors, but being a post-military car, this one is built to allow for quick exits.

Nowadays, though, it’s more of an iconic style choice, and it gives Arnie a bit more wiggle room to fit his arms in.

Arnie shares quite a fascination for military vehicles, especially tanks, which he pictures himself in on his Instagram.

But he does still have a love for other popular models, and was recently the recipient of one of the world’s first electric G-Class-inspired Mercedes SUVs, in partnership with Kreisel.

That particular collaboration spawned the 2025 Mercedes-Benz G 580, built in Austria, the actor’s home country.

Coincidentally, this trend-setting pattern is the reason that Hummer cars are now available to the public. So he can add that to his ever-growing CV, too.
