Aston Martin and Breitling are officially joining forces.
The two brands have announced a multi-year partnership that spans both luxury cars and Formula One.
It is a partnership that fuses decades of precision watch-making with the world of hand-crafted, high-performance vehicles.
But it will also see Breitling become the official watch sponsor of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team.

Aston Martin and Breitling partner up
Luxury timepieces have an extremely close bond with the world of motorsport.
It is a relationship that goes back multiple decades.
And the latest chapter of that crossover has just been confirmed.
It is a deal that sees the luxury Swiss watchmaker become the official watch sponsor of the marque.
And what is fascinating is that both brands share a heritage of chasing precision and speed.
In 1907, Leon Breitling introduced a truly revolutionary watch.

Called the Vitesse, French for ‘speed’, it was a pocket watch dedicated to measuring speed.
It could measure speeds ranging from 15 to 250 miles per hour.
In fact, the Breitling Vitesse was used by Swiss police to issue the first speeding tickets.
A couple of years later, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford were testing a sports car.
It took part in a steep slope named Aston Hill – and it won.
From there, the now iconic Aston Martin name was born and has since endured.

Brand CEOs discuss the deal
Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark discussed his delight in the deal.
“Aston Martin and Breitling have crossed paths at key moments in design and culture,” Hallmark explained.
“The partnership is a perfect showcase of excellence, design mastery and performance, something that is integral to everything that Aston Martin puts its name to.”

Like his counterpart, Breitling CEO Georges Kern discussed his pleasure at the new, multi-year partnership.
“Aston Martin builds cars that are as much about presence as performance,” the CEO said.
“We share that same heritage of iconic design: every line, finish and proportion has purpose.
“Nothing is left to chance.”
New deal sees Breitling return to Formula One
The partnership is set to produce some very interesting results.
But the headline news concerns Formula One.
The new partnership will see Breitling become the official watch sponsor of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.
By Q3 of this year, an exclusive partnership timepiece will be released by Breitling.

This Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team is set to be the first luxury piece produced as part of the collaboration.
It is also the timepiece that marks Breitling’s return to racing.
Legendary drivers such as Graham Hill and Jim Clark used Breitling Navitimers as their personal chronographs.
Then, the 1980s and 1990s saw the brand develop exclusive models for the Renault Formula One team.
But this partnership marks a new era for both brands.
