It’s the news Aston Martin fans have been waiting to hear.

The British brand’s new flagship model will feature a V12 engine.

Not just any V12 engine, though – a fearsome new powerplant with ‘class-leading’ power.

In recent weeks, we’ve seen Aston Martin unveil the upgraded DBX707, with a fresh interior and new features.

And it wasn’t that long ago that the luxury automaker lifted the curtain on the new Aston Martin Vantage which, is not only a thing of beauty but the ‘fastest yet’.

The latest news to come out of Gaydon is that the brand is continuing its 25-year bloodline of V12-engined flagships.

The upcoming flagship, rumored to be called Vanquish, will feature an all-new powerplant.

Instead of taking the easy route, Aston has instead opted to completely re-design, targeting optimization and improvement, ensuring the new engine refines every stage of the internal combustion process.

To be more specific, the new V12 engine gets a strengthened cylinder block and conrods, redesigned cylinder heads incorporating reprofiled camshafts, plus new intake and exhaust ports.

That’s not all, though, as the spark plugs have been repositioned and, along with new higher flowrate fuel injectors, deliver optimized combustion for ‘class-leading’ performance and efficiency gains.

To top things off, new higher-speed, reduced inertia turbochargers are said to deliver increased performance and throttle response.

So, how much power will the new Aston Martin V12 engine deliver?

According to a press release issued by the brand, it’ll offer 835 PS (824 HP) and 1,000 Nm of torque (738 lb-ft).

The new V12 engine, which will feature across Aston Martin’s most exclusive and limited-availability models, is a bold statement of the brand’s sporting intent.

As such, it’ll be handcrafted, year by year, in strictly limited numbers.

It will make its first appearance in a new flagship model, sitting at the heart of what the brand is labeling a ‘true dynamic disruptor’ that debuts later in 2024.
