A man bought a brand new 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 sports car for just over $220,000, but then he decided almost immediately that he wanted to get rid of it.

The car is being auctioned off on Bring a Trailer, and the 2026 Corvette ZR1 hasn’t been on the market for long, yet this owner already wants rid.

Doing so means anyone buying the car will have to pay a fortune over the original retail price of the car, or a higher markup on the MSRP.

With bidding well over $200k at the time of writing, this seller might be about to cash in big.

This 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is not cheap

The current seller of the sports car originally bought it for $220,745, which is already a lot of money.

But, for whatever reason, they have decided to part ways with it.

They are likely hoping to cash in like others are on a nice profit, and it’s highly likely they will do so.

At the time of writing, the top bid is $231,000, so the Corvette is already over its MSRP.

One issue facing a buyer is that the car has been sold within 12 months of the original purchase date.

That means the warranty will be ‘null and void’ for all potential future owners.

But clearly, some people don’t seem to mind this.

The Corvette ZR1 packs a punch

Finished in black and blue, the Corvette looks mean, and it packs the punch to go with the aesthetic.

The car has done just five miles, and under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter LT7 V8 engine.

It produces 1,064hp as we’ve covered before, and there are plenty of options on the car.

It comes with the ZTK Performance Track Package.

This adds features such as carbon ceramic brakes, a performance suspension, and the ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package.

The sports car also has a front-axle lift system as well as Edge Blue 20-spoked forged aluminum wheels.

Recently, another Corvette ZR1 sold for $278,500, around $50,000 higher than the MSRP.

This car has a way to go before it hits that impressive figure with four days left at the time of writing.

But with four days left on the auction, this Corvette ZR1 could still blitz the original sticker price.
