A turbocharged 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII that Paul Walker drove in 2 Fast 2 Furious is set to go under the hammer.

Released in 2003, 2 Fast 2 Furious was a sequel to the original The Fast and the Furious

For the second installment, the late Walker reprised his role of Brian O’Conner.

And now, a car he actually drove on screen is headed for auction.

Few movie franchises manage to pack as many cars in as the Fast and Furious, and when filming wraps, the cars are often sold on.

In fact, one man managed to snap up three of them at auction to see if he could turn a profit.

Later this month, auctioneers Bonhams is holding The Movie Cars Collection, which contains nine screen-used cars from the Fast and Furious franchise, as well as some spot-on replicas.

However, the highlight of the haul is a 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII that was driven by Paul Walker in the sequel, and clocking up around 15 minutes of screentime.

The car is finished in an eye-catching Kosmic Kolor Candy Lime Gold and has a turbocharged 4G63 2.0-litre inline four under the hood.

It’s officially titled as Stunt Car No. 1 and is one of four Mitsubishi Evolutions made for the film by Eddie Paul Industries to design and technical specs provided by Craig Lieberman.

It has fewer than 6,210 miles on the clock and is the only one of the four cars made that produces the full 330 horsepower.

After appearing in the film, the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII was used for promotional purposes before making its way to Norway in 2007.

It was then bought by Movie Cars Central in 2019, but now it’s on the hunt for a new owner and is set to cross the auction block on November 28.

But getting your hands on a piece of automotive and movie history won’t come cheap, with Bonhams slapping an estimate of between $289,500 and $579,000 on the car.

There are plenty of other movie-famous cars on offer

Of course, if that particular car isn’t to your taste, there are plenty more on offer.

Inside the collection, there’s a 1970 Dodge Charger that featured in Fast and Furious 7 and a 2011 Ford Taurus Police Cruiser that appeared in the 2014 remake of Robocop.

Elsewhere, you’ll find a 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victory from Men in Black 2, and John Wick’s beloved 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, which featured in the sequel.
