A stunning and pristine-looking 1969 Dodge Charger 500 Hemi is set to cross the auction block early next year.
Back in 1968, Dodge wanted a car that could rival Ford on the NASCAR ovals.
So, the carmaker took one of its deluxe Charger R/T models and gave it some race-track-ready upgrades to create the very limited edition 1969 Charger 500.
The cars were modified by Creative Industries for Dodge, and featured a replacement flush grille and a new, more aerodynamic rear window design.

The 1969 Dodge Charger 500 Hemi is in pristine condition
With so few made and even fewer surviving, a 1969 Charger 500 is a rare find in 2025.
In total, 392 Charger 500s were built, and this example which is set to go under the hammer at Mecum’s Kissimmee 2026 auction, is one of the rarest of the lot.

The numbers-matching 1969 Dodge Charger 500 Hemi is in excellent condition, and while it might look brand-new, it has actually held onto its original body panels and interiors.
Its exterior paintwork has had one refresh and was repainted in its correct T5 Dark Bronze Metallic, with a white tail stripe, and has script-style Charger emblems, exclusive Charger 500 insignia, and Hemi branding.
The Charger 500 sits on color-matched steel wheels, which have small-diameter hubcaps and white stripe tires.
The interiors are finished in a classic tan leather, and include bucket seats, and a center console with wooden accents.
It features power steering and power breaks, and its original Solid State pushbutton radio.
Despite its age, the car has just 50,841 miles on the clock, which goes some way to explain why it looks as though it just rolled off the production line.
But it’s the car’s power plant that makes it a truly rare find
It’s what’s under the hood that makes this particular model so rare.
The 1969 Dodge Charger 500 has its original 426/425 Hemi V-8 engine paired with a A833 4-speed manual transmission.

Of the 392 Charger 500s that were built, only 67 came with the Hemi engine.
And of those 67, just 27 had the 4-speed transmission.
The vehicle is set to be sold at the Kissimmee auction in January next year, where it could attract bids of over six figures.
