This is the new Audi Q6 e-tron off-road concept, probably the wildest off-roader you’ll see today.
The concept was unveiled in the Alps in Austria, and for good reason.
This is because the Audi Q6 is an off-roading beast primed for icy conditions.
It’s wildly powerful too, and is even being compared to the polarising Tesla Cybertruck.

The new Audi Q6 is a proper off-roader
The new Audi Q6 e-tron was unveiled at the Kitzbühel World Cup in Austria, ahead of its public launch at the upcoming FAT Ice Race, which will also take place in Austria.
The car is fitted with two electric motors for a combined power output of 380kW, equivalent to around 510 horsepower.
It’s built using Audi’s new electric platform, they call it PPE (Premium Platform Electric), but, in this case, the car sits 6.3 inches taller than any other vehicle built using the same platform, and it has a much wider track.
The most outstanding feature is its torque, 9,883lb-ft, nearly as much as the Cybertruck.
Automakers are expanding into uncharted territories
Not long ago, different automakers did different things, and each brand would generally fit into categories that were easy to determine and define.
You wouldn’t have expected a supercar from Audi, just like you wouldn’t have expected an SUV from Ferrari, but then, probably around 10-15 years ago, that started chaging.
With a few exceptions, McLaren springs to mind, every supercar maker has built an SUV – Ferrari has the Purosangue and Lamborghini has the Urus – and they’re now taking it to the next level.
In addition to school run-friendly SUVs, they’re also unveiling serious off-roaders, such as the Sterrato or the Porsche 911 Dakar.
With that in mind, and a bit of luck, the Q6 e-tron won’t be just a concept, and maybe a production model will follow.
