An Audi RS7 was cruising down the freeway when it suddenly turned into a one-car magic trick.
No warning, no wobble, no smoke – just smooth highway speed.
Then, out of nowhere, the hood snapped loose and hurled itself skyward like it had somewhere better to be.
It’s the kind of moment that makes you blink, rewind, and wonder what on Earth just happened.

The Audi RS7 startup that sent its hood flying
The clip, posted by Instagram creator @ridasallouh, shows the RS7 rolling at highway pace when the stunt unfolds.
One second, everything’s normal.
The next, the hood whips upward with violent force, folds back, and tears clean off the hinges before flying into the air behind the car.
It’s a split-second explosion of motion as the wind load hits a latch that clearly wasn’t holding on.

The RS7’s muscular front end and broad leading edge catch a huge amount of air at speed, and once that latch lets go, the hood becomes a sail.
The chaos lasts maybe half a second.
The driver holds the lane, debris tumbling behind, while the RS7 keeps pushing forward like nothing happened.
It’s dramatic, chaotic, and absolutely on brand for a car that treats idling like a performance event.
And if you haven’t watched the moment yet, it’s as outrageous as it sounds.
Why the RS7 has this much force baked in
Audi built the RS7 to be unruly on purpose.
The Performance model squeezes 630 horsepower and 850Nm from its biturbo V8 thanks to bigger turbos and 2.6-bar boost, sending the fastback to 62mph in 3.4 seconds.

So when a car this amped jolts to life, a hood making a break for freedom almost feels inevitable.
With power like this, even the bodywork taps out.
