Super Bowl halftime show star Bad Bunny sold his $3 million Bugatti Chiron supercar and chose to drive a $10,000 Toyota Corolla from 2003 instead.
For someone as successful as Bad Bunny, you would fully expect him to drive around in a super luxurious and powerful supercar, and for some time, he did do that.
Yet it has emerged recently that the singer wasn’t enjoying the side effects that driving around in a flash Bugatti was bringing to him.
So he decided to sell up his supercar and turn to an old Toyota worth just $10,000.

Why Bad Bunny sold his Bugatti Chiron supercar
At first, it might seem strange to comprehend the singer’s decision.
The 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport that Bad Bunny owned had an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 under the hood.
That produced 1,479hp and 1,180lb-ft of torque.
Depending on the spec of the supercar, it could be worth between $3 million and $4 million.
However, despite that, the singer wasn’t enjoying driving the car.
It had nothing to do with its performance, but more with the attention that driving it would bring.

The attention made it hard for him to leave his house, and everyone would rush to catch a glimpse of him.
He would be under constant observation, even if just going out to do errands or visit a friend.
Something had to change.

The singer swapped the Chiron for a 2003 Toyota Corolla
You probably can’t get more invisible than a Toyota Corolla from 2003.
But that’s exactly why Bad Bunny chose the Japanese sedan.
It wouldn’t turn heads, and nobody would give the car a second glance.
Compared to the Bugatti, it certainly falls short in some areas.
Under the hood is a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated inline-four.
That produces just 130hp and 125lb-ft of torque, so we think the Chiron would win in a drag race.

But for a price of just $5,000 to $10,000, it’s a huge saving.
Plus, if Bad Bunny wants to nip to the grocery store, hardly anyone would notice the Corolla.
So while on the surface, trading a Chiron for a Corolla might seem crazy, it actually makes so much sense.
