A 1989 Batmobile body from North Carolina has appeared on eBay but its price is making buyers think twice.

It’s every superhero fan’s childhood dream, but at what price?

The fiberglass replica Batman vehicle body was listed from Raleigh, North Carolina.

And the listing even included a C4 Corvette chassis as the donor car.

Batmobile body for sale on eBay

The eBay listing described the Batmobile as a ‘new kit car,’ complete with clean vehicle documentation and zero mileage.

And the C4 Corvette was to be used as a donor car for parts like the chassis, drivetrain, and suspension.

The asking price for the replica? A cool $10,000.

Despite having so much potential, the auction ended on November 25 without a single bid.

We can’t help but think the listing price had something to do with this.

You can check the eBay listing here if you’re curious about the details.

There are other Batmobiles out there, too, like this one modeled on Tim Burton’s version.

Or what about this one, modeled on the ‘Tumbler’ from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy?

It Could Have Become the Ultimate Showpiece

The replica included additional fiberglass parts for the sides and a turbine fan kit to complete the look.

But whoever bid on it would be signing themselves up for a massive job.

Turning it into a functional car would have required a lot of skill and months of effort.

But with some good workmanship, the Batmobile would have made an ultimate showpiece at car meets.

Like this one-of-a-kind replica of the Caped Crusader’s car from Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

On that replica, each back wheel weighs 500 kilograms (1,102 lbs), and it comes with a Formula 1-style steering wheel.

Afterall, if you’re Batman, you need to have a lot of options on your ride, right?
