The Boeing 747 is one of the most iconic aircraft to ever travel the skies or land on the island of St. Maarten.

Since first taking to the air in 1969, the 747 has become a subject of legend.

One of the most incredible landing routes ever taken by the jumbo jet is on the tiny isle known as St. Maarten

This Air France Boeing 747 made its final landing on the Caribbean island in 2002.
