German tuner Brabus isn’t afraid to go wild with its projects, and the new Mercedes G-Wagen upgrade, the XLP 800, is one of its most outlandish creations yet.

This new version of the iconic SUV turns it into a high-performance pickup truck, loaded with power and luxury.

The truck also has some of the most extensive modifications, so its million-dollar price tag shouldn’t really come as a surprise.

Like with every Brabus, not many will be produced, so you’d better act fast if you want to get your hands on this beastly G63.

Key to the redesigned G-Wagen are the changes made to the Mercedes SUV/pickup’s powertrain.

Brabus took the existing 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and tuned it to produce a whopping 800hp and 737lb-ft of torque.

That extra power gives it a staggeringly fast 0-60mph time of just 5.0 seconds.

That’s seriously impressive for a full-size luxury truck.

As always with a Brabus, it isn’t just the design and power of the G63 that has received a major upgrade.

Step inside the G-Wagen, and you will see Sky Blue leather as well as Alcantara wrapping around every surface.

To complement the leather and Alcantara, Brabus has also added carbon fiber trim and diamond-quilted stitching.

Brabus has also worked hard to upgrade the mechanics and turn it into a luxury pickup.

The company stretched the wheelbase of the G63 by 20 inches to accommodate its new handcrafted pickup bed.

To keep the weight down, the truck was given carbon fiber side panels and a tailgate.

All this while still retaining the strength needed for it to be used daily.

To give the bed that luxury look, the tuners fitted a ‘soft-teak’ bed floor.

This is also the same wood trim found in their marine creations.

All of this has of course pushed the price tag up to an astronomical figure.

If you want one of these mighty pickups, you’re looking at spending around $1 million.

Like with this Rolls-Royce Cullinan, not many of us will be able to buy one.

However, you can’t say you’re not getting a lot of bang for your buck.
