Brazil will soon be home to the world’s tallest residential skyscraper called the Senna Tower, and it’s not going to be just any development project.

If the name didn’t ring a bell for you, it comes from icon racing driver Ayrton Senna, who hailed from the same country.

This tower, designed by his niece – Brazilian artist Lalalli Senna – will pay tribute to the F1 legend.

For context, Ayrton was one of the most celebrated drivers and won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship three times before unfortunately passing away in an accident.

The world’s tallest residential skyscraper in Brazil

Once completed, the Senna Tower will be a spot to remember Ayrton, with a dedicated podium area featuring memorabilia and a mini racing track.

Lalalli Senna’s design philosophy envisions the Senna Tower featuring a designer base that blends into a classic rectangular tower look.

Of course, modern design also comes with personalized lighting, which will be one of this skyscraper’s key features.

The building will house approximately 228 residences, of which 18 will be called ‘suspended mansions’ and two ‘mega-triplex penthouses.’

That’s quite the naming scheme planned, but there’s more.

Thanks to all the sky-high real estate, the tower will come with six private leisure floors — all included with amenities.

However, since the project is in its early stages, we don’t have all the details just yet.

Will Senna Tower really be the tallest?

We have more than a handful of tall skyscrapers across the world, but only a few manage to stand out.

Note that the Senna Tower in Brazil aims to become the world’s tallest residential skyscraper and not the tallest skyscraper.

That title belongs to the famous Burj Khalifa at 2,722 feet, and several projects are in line to overtake that itself.

For instance, the Jeddah Tower is nearing its completion and will overtake the Burj Khalifa by standing at 3,281 feet tall.

Residential buildings, however, are a different story.

The top three tallest residential towers all reside in New York, but the Senna Tower will overtake all of them if it becomes a reality.

Its developers have already chosen a location, and they plan to build it in Santa Catarina, Brazil.

There are more contenders for the world’s tallest residential skyscraper competition, though.

Another skyscraper — the Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina — is also in the works and aims to reach a height of 1,696 feet.

To put everything into perspective, the Statue of Liberty is only 305 feet tall.

Living in one of these places will certainly be an experience, especially in the vibrant nation of Brazil.
