A man’s prank in Cambridgeshire in the UK has gone viral after expressing frustration at how long a pothole had been left without being dealt with by the local council.

Even though it is not a busy road, the pothole is huge enough to cause disruption if two cars were to try and approach at the same time.

The pothole is so deep and full of water that the prankster decided to make it look like a person had dived in and their legs were sticking out of the hole.

The prankster used old rags, wood and clothes that were going to be thrifted to fashion this funny statement, and it seems that all eyes are on what’s going to happen to this pothole in the future.

This fake legs prank was a ‘hole’ lot of fun

British man and Cambridgeshire resident James Coxall was fed up of dealing with a giant pothole that was making a local road very dangerous to drive down.

He decided that along with his family, he was going to make a statement which would force the local council to do something about filling in the hole.

The hole is extremely deep and filled right to the brim with water, so he decided to use a pair of shoes and some jeans destined for the thrift store to fashion a pair of fake legs.

After stuffing the pants with old rags and wood to make them stand up straight, he positioned the fake legs in the pothole to make it look like someone had dived in.

Has the pothole been filled in yet?

At this moment in time, not much seems to have happened, but local Facebook groups and social media accounts slightly further afield have picked up the story.

Hopefully the fake legs will draw enough attention, so the local council will fill it in, making Haverhill Road a safer place to drive down.

One thing’s for sure: this fashion statement has led the world to have it’s eyes on a random pothole in Cambridgeshire.
