Introducing the V8-powered Bufori CS8
You might not be familiar with the little-known Malaysian-Australian carmaker Bufori.
The company has been producing hand-built vehicles since the mid-1980s but, until now, has mainly taken inspiration from American coupes from the 1930s.
But now it has unveiled the CS8: its first V8-powered grand tourer, and it’s a little bit special.

Based on a 2019 prototype, Bufori says it has spent around 10 years developing the CS8.
“The Bufori CS8 redefines the essence of an Ultra High Performance Grand Tourer, a bold fusion of handcrafted luxury, advanced engineering, and exhilarating performance,” the company said.
“Destined to stand as a symbol of individuality and innovation, it is more than a sports car; it is an icon in the making.”
A bold statement, indeed.
The Bufori CS8 grand tourer has a slick-looking carbon-Kevlar monocoque body, which you can have finished in just about any color you fancy.
Inside, you’ll find a ‘sanctuary of luxury and craftsmanship’, according to Bufori.
This includes electrically adjustable Recaro leather bucket seats, exposed carbon elements, and a near-endless amount of customizable elements from hand stitched uphollstery to hand-picked trim materials.

Powering the Bufori CS8 is a front mid-mounted 6.4-litre supercharged V8 engine that can produce up to 810hp.
All that power means the CS8 can do 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 3 seconds flat, and gives it a top speed limited to 205mph (330km/h).
The carmaker is also planning to introduce other engine configurations, including a 3.6 liter V6 offering 455hp.
Each hand-built CS8 made will be unique
Each car is hand-built and takes around 9,000 hours to complete.
Bufori promises that ‘no two vehicles will be alike’ thanks to its comprehensive range of customization and personalization options.

Customers will be able to select everything from the exterior paintwork to the interior exposed carbon-fiber elements to guarantee a truly bespoke vehicle.
Naturally, this luxury comes at a price, and you’ll be expected to part with around $520,000 at entry level.
