This Canadian couple turned an abandoned superyacht into a permanent home that they’re using to travel the world.
The ‘Onboard Tangaroa’ couple, Blaine and Janis, have made it clear that they ‘never want to live on land again’.
It’s certainly been going well so far.
And now Blaine and Janis are on their way to Japan.

This is what living in a superyacht feels like
Blaine and Janis, a Canadian couple from Anyox, bought an abandoned superyacht last year for about $143,000 and then spent a few months restoring it.
After 700 nautical miles, the yacht is currently docked in Canada, but the couple will soon head to Japan.
In a new video they’ve uploaded to their YouTube channel, Blaine and Janis revealed that there is still a lot of work to be done on the abandoned superyacht, but it’s proving to be a worthy investment.
More importantly, the yacht runs well, and they’re already using it.
Each penny they earn is spent maintaining and improving the yacht that’s now their permanent home.

Life at sea
In the olden days, living on a boat sounded like a far-fetched utopia reserved for millionaires and billionaires.
But that’s no longer the case.
Obviously, rich people can still buy a luxury home on a ship, but regular people are doing it as well.

We keep hearing stories of couples who decided to spend their retirement out at sea because it’s simply cheaper than living on land.
Digital nomads are also joining the trend.
Not long ago, a Meta employee bought an apartment on a cruise ship, precisely because it was cheaper than buying a house in California.
Some people think this decision makes a lot of financial sense, and, on top of that, you get to see the world.
For some, this is a win-win situation.
