This Canadian man tested out his Tesla Model 3 to the max to see what it was like to sleep overnight.
Unlike other EVs, Tesla offers Camp Mode, specially designed to keep you toasty overnight.
The mode is the perfect companion on road trips and long journeys that require a stop off so you can sleep in your car if needed.
But one Tesla owner decided to test the mode in sub-zero weather conditions with one outcome.

This Tesla Model 3 was taken on a tour – well, not quite
What’s that camping out overnight? Is it an RV? Is it a tent? No, believe it or not, it’s a Tesla.
Tesla is arguably the most recognizable EV brand on the planet, and its models come with some interesting features, but one model has been given a new use.
The Tesla Model 3 comes with a whole heap of clever modes that make it versatile in different scenarios, not just driving from A to B.
So, YouTuber Mike Seguin tested out the Model 3 like never before, by sleeping in it and using the Camp Mode.

In sub-zero temperatures, it was put to the test and quite clearly delivered.
Testing out both the front and back seats, the Tesla owner was left impressed by the car’s reclining seats.

“Sleeping overnight in this car is actually a lot better pre-positioned than you might think,” said the creator.
Plus, there was one huge bonus, with Mike explaining that if the battery falls below 20 percent, it will reportedly shut off to save power and stop you getting stranded – clever, right?
The shape and space that the Tesla Model 3 provides is also a positive, with enough room for items to be stored too, and there are even special mattresses available to use on Tesla camping trips.
Here’s what the Camp Mode really does
Tesla’s Camp Mode enables your car to turn into your very own house on wheels, regardless of the temperature outside the car.
It enables the cabin to keep a steady temperature while keeping the USB port and outlets going so that you can charge your phone overnight, as well as using ‘media for hours on end’, according to Tesla itself.
This also means that there is no condensation as the cabin is well ventilated, and no need to keep the engine running either.
It isn’t the only handy mode the cars have, as other Tesla models have different settings, such as Dog Mode, which allows pets to be kept in the car safely while their owners are running errands.
So, there you have it. Your days of purchasing a tent are over – just snap up a Tesla Mode 3 instead.
