Did you know that a lot of car dealerships have a secret sticker system that can save you a lot of money if you know how it works?

A TikToker pointed out a tiny little symbol that actually holds a lot of weight if you’re wanting to get a bargain.

Dealers try to avoid paying ‘floor planning’, which means they have to pay interest on vehicles that they own, and the longer a vehicle sits there, the more interest it accrues.

So, next time you’re out at the car dealership, looking at buying a new car, look out for a little dot in the top of the windshield or a sticker.

The secret sticker system that car dealerships don’t want you to know

Next time you’re at a used car dealership and feeling overwhelmed by choice, it’s important to know these little life hacks to help save money.

A TikToker by the name of Daniel Rivas pointed out a small sticker in the top corner of a windshield of a used car and told his followers to look out for them.

A secret sticker system implemented by car dealerships means that if you see a little dot or a sticker on the windshield, then actually that means that the car has been sitting for a while on the lot.

You might think an unwanted car might be a bad investment, but these are actually the cars you want.

It’s a win-win

Car dealers actually don’t want to keep cars on the lot too long, so they can avoid paying ‘floor planning’, which is essentially interest owed on the vehicles they own.

The longer a vehicle sits there, the more interest it accrues, so it’s in the dealer’s best interest to try and shift the longstanding cars for a bargain.

So, next time you’re in the market for a used car, look out for the stickers and dots on the windshield and enjoy your amazing bargain!
