When you’re in the most derelict of places like a car graveyard hunting for rare cars, you never know what you may find — just like these guys who ended up in a Porsche chop shop.

Well, they didn’t know they were in a chop shop until much later, but it was quite the gold mine.

The place, which was extremely massive, by the way, was brimming with abandoned high-end vehicles.

So, what did they find?

Car graveyard filled with abandoned vehicles

YouTuber James from the channel Road to Rust and Colin from the channel The Bearded Explorer were in Germany to hunt down abandoned German classics.

They made their way into an abandoned property, which had a handful of Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes models just sitting there.

Although these were pretty rare cars — that one would only dream of finding in a barn find like this one in a derelict farm — the best was hiding elsewhere.

The YouTubers stumbled upon an Audi V8, which was one of the best German offerings of its day.

There was also a pretty rare Porsche 928 S and what looked like a BMW M3 conversion-contraption.

However, everything changed when they entered the building nearby.

Before we get into what was inside, note that this situation seemed eerily similar to the junkyard filled with legendary 2000s cars.

A (alleged) Porsche chop shop

Not only did they find even rarer cars like the BMW E30 (3 Series) and a Mercedes-Benz 560SL, the entire place was full with car parts and an absurd amount of Porsches.

Hence, they immediately thought that it was a Porsche chop shop.

For the uninformed, a chop shop is an illicit business that takes out parts from cars without the owners’ consent.

Naturally, most Porsches had some parts missing, and let us tell you, there were a lot of Porsches.

Whether they were abandoned or not remains a mystery, but seeing all these cars in one place certainly makes you wonder.

We’ve seen our fair share of car graveyards with luxury cars, but this didn’t feel like one.

It might have also been a tuning firm that went out of business, so take the speculations with a pinch of salt.
