The owner of a 1967 Ford Thunderbird has praised this one-step scratch remover that completely restored the bodywork of a 50-year-old relic.

On the trip back from the dealership to your house, it’s inevitable that your new ride will roll over a tiny rock that pings up and ricochets off the paintwork. We’ve all been there.

But having accumulated over half a century’s worth of typical road scratches, this Ford Thunderbird now looks like it came off the forecourt yesterday, thanks to Chemical Brothers’ one-step scratch and swirl remover.

1967 Ford Thunderbird owner couldn’t believe his eyes

With millions of grains of asphalt likely covered, one 1967 Ford Thunderbird needed a little TLC.

Online alias ‘BigBoyBev’ revealed that after using just a few blotches of the scratch and swirl remover, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

“I have a 1967 Ford Thunderbird Fordor in triple black. It’s a 90% car, and I just need to get the swirls out of the paint. This product worked amazingly with my DA Polisher. I couldn’t believe my eyes! Give it a try! You won’t be sorry!”

The product only takes minimal dosages to use and can correct surface scratches after just one scrub.

Best paired with a buffing machine and a microfibre cloth to remove any streaks, it left this Thunderbird looking spick and span.

It’s not the only vehicle fixed by Chemical Guys

From a worn Jeep Cherokee to a vintage Ferrari to a modern Dodge Durango, the scratch and swirl remover buffs anything it gets its mitts on.

“As the old pizza boxes used to say, ‘You’ve tried the rest, now try the best!’ This stuff did for my freshly restored Ferrari what all the others claimed they could do, but didn’t. It removed the stubborn swirl marks and paved the way for the next step,” one user said.

Another wrote: “Did a 1 step simple polish, and it made my 12 year paint that stays outside all year, look brand new, very simple to use and works amazing!”

Cherokee driver B-Sherm added, “Used this on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 11-year-old paint was extremely swirled but brought back to life and looks better than expected.”

For just $21, it seems like a no-brainer to have your car looking like this all-year round.
