This 1990 Chevy Camaro in pristine condition was discovered in a basement where it spent literally its entire life.

When the car was found, it appeared in excellent condition, apart from the inevitable dust.

But other than that there was nothing wrong with it.

That is surprising, but what is even more shocking is the car has only done six miles.

A record-breaking Chevy Camaro

There’s no such thing as a record for the least amount of miles over the longest period, but if there was, the Chevy would break it.

Six miles over the course of 34 years is genuinely impressive.

Then again we never know what people choose to do with theirs, do we?

There’s a guy who’s put 300,000 (!) miles under the tires of a Lamborghini Murcielago.

This Camaro is actually quite rare

This Chevy Camaro is actually relatively rare, probably not as rare as the COPO Camaro, but still pretty unique.

It’s a 1990 1LE Z28 IROC Camaro, which is a rare iteration of a specific variant for that model year.

In 1990, Chevy only built 62 Camaros with the 1LE equipment, and 1990 was also the final year for the IROC-Z.

Even so, it still doesn’t solve the mystery of how, or why, the owner just left it there for 34 years.

Six miles on the clock means the car has effectively never been driven, because that’s the sort of mileage you accrue by either loading the car onto a truck, or by driving it home from the dealership and then leaving it there.

With our Hercule Poirot hat on, we’d say it’s the former, not the latter because the car has never even been plated.
