Finding one classic Ferrari is enough to satisfy any car enthusiast for a lifetime, but finding 11 is extraordinary.
Amazingly, this exact thing happened when a huge haul of classic Ferraris was uncovered in a field in Texas.
As finds go, this is right up there.
But, how did the cars get there, and what happened next?

Family of forgotten Ferrari supercars
Our story starts in 2018, when a Ferrari specialist put a post on a dedicated internet forum.
On September 10th, user PaulC posted about a collection of abandoned Italian supercars in Lakeway, Texas.
According to the user, the cars were part of a collection built up by a wealthy attorney.

Apparently, he went from collecting Chevrolet Corvettes to hoarding Maranello’s finest exports.
Aside from a few models from Lotus, Lamborghini and Porsche, it appears that the wealthy attorney become totally enamoured with Ferrari.
Epic collection found in Texas field
The Ferrari field holds a 308 Quattrovalvole, as well as 348, 328, Mondial and 400i models.
That’s quite a significant and impressive Ferrari haul if you ask us.
Sadly, it seems that the attorney who owned this collection fell ill and the cars were sent to a friend’s storage facility to manage them in his absence.

Then – allegedly – the cars were left in a field because of payment disputes regarding the storage facilities.
The original owner then tried to sell off all of the cars as one collection, asking for over $100,000 – which is not exactly a bargain.
Eventually, the attorney passed away, and this Ferrari collection was broken up to be sold individually.
Family find supercar selection in field
The attorney’s family attempted to get possession of the collection, but they could not.
After a few years and various legal proceedings, his family finally got their hands on the late attorney’s collection.
Sadly, the collection had been left out in the field so long that the cars had faded away quite badly.
Some of the cars were left in extremely rough shape.

Thankfully, it appears that these old Ferrari cars have now found a good home.
People noted in the forum that at least two of the collection ended up in the Beverly Hills Car Club.
We are relieved that, despite their turbulent past, these Ferrari cars from the past have found a good home.
