This YouTuber couple were left stunned when they cut a hedge in a field and discovered a classic car inside of it.

Elton and Claire, the hosts of YouTube channel UK Barn Finds, were investigating a field when they came across the bush.

Parts of a car could be seen peeking out in-between the branches, but it wouldn’t be fully revealed until they got the strimmer out.

What they found inside was a real treat.

The classic car that was hidden in the hedge

Discovering cars in fields isn’t as rare as you might expect.

Juts recently, one Ohio couple found a car buried in the ground on land they’d purchased, while a Porsche Boxster was left abandoned in a Texan field.

And it’s not just in the United States that cars are literally being put out to pasture.

In fact, Elton and Claire have previously uncovered cars inside hedges in their other videos – namely a Reliant Scimitar GTE.

So what car would they uncover this time around, once they’d removed all the surrounding shrubbery?

After checking the license plate, they discovered that this was a 1988 Škoda 130 LSE.

No tax records were available online, meaning it’d been off the road for at least 20 years.

“I think she’s in a bit of a state, as you can see.

“Around the back, there’s no [trunk] lid and Elton’s just told me there’s no engine,” Claire remarked.

The inside of the car was filled to the brim with brambles.

The Škoda sunroof was still intact, though, albeit looking a little moldy.

The backstory behind the Škoda 130 LSE

The 130 Škoda was first introduced in August 1984, and rolled out the following year.

Developed from earlier 105/120 models, the new series incorporated a new 1289 cc engine and a redesigned rear suspension.

The next wave of Škodas would come in 1987 onwards, when the 135 and the 136 were brought in.

It’s difficult to pin down an exact figure on how many 130s are still driving around the roads of the UK today.

No official data exists, but it’s been suggested on some corners of the internet that as few as three are still driving.

The one found by Elton and Claire won’t be one of them, evidently.
