They’re considered pickup truck rivals, but when this Cybertruck owner tried out the F-150 Lightning and the Rivian R1T, he couldn’t believe the difference.

He took to an online forum to share his honest thoughts on the EV trucks.

When trying out other vehicles, you’re bound to notice some differences from your daily driver.

And that sure was true in this case – this driver didn’t hold back in outlining what he noticed.

What did this Cybertruck owner think of the F-150 Lightning and the Rivian R1T?

For as long as these trucks have been on the market, people have been comparing them to each other.

Whether it’s in safety tests or simply appearance, the Cybertruck is constantly being compared to its rivals.

And people come to their own conclusions on what they prefer, with some vouching for the Tesla truck, while others opt for the alternative.

But for one Cybertruck driver, there was a vast difference when he got to try out the Rivian R1T and the F-150 Lightning for himself.

Writing in a post on a forum for Cybertruck owners, he laid out his honest and raw thoughts.

“Drove a Rivian yesterday. I found it stiff and vague. Steering is heavy,” he wrote.

“The cab is really small. Deceivingly small.

“Nice rig, but NOT even on the same level as the CT at all.”

That’s a pretty clear-cut conclusion, no?

How would the F-150 Lightning measure up?

Well, it also failed to deliver for him:

“It charges slowly and does not even touch the CT’s software.

“My opinion is that nothing compares to the amazing CT.”

There’s certainly no sitting on the fence with this guy.

Other drivers weigh in to share their thoughts

Another forum member chipped in with his two cents, as somebody who lives with two EV pickups – his own Cybertruck and his wife’s GMC Hummer EV.

He commended the Hummer on its turning radius and highway comfort, but he noted that the Cybertruck was simpler to live with day-to-day.

There’s no right or wrong in this type of debate – it all comes down to preference.

Different strokes for different folks, and all that jazz.

Other people have certainly come to different conclusions when comparing the EVs – just take a look at the results of this tug-of-war test.
